   Ha. So Youtube refuses any file uploaded through Safari for Mac, but if I try again with Chrome, any format is suddenly accepted. Another dark pattern to force users to use Chrome? Another attempt at adding too much friction with unwanted browsers? #darkpatterns #design #youtube #surveillancecapitalism

     @mcpaccard There is worse: youtube is slower with any other browser than Chrome on all platforms because Google used a custom js toolkit to build the interface that needs things that only exists in google chrome.

     @mcpaccard another disadvantage of non-free software and of centralization with lack of international standardization, these are side-effects of #CalifornianIdeology. This is why I'm an activist for #FreeSoftware, #Federation and #Standardization.
