@Gargron I feel less need to follow people in Mastodon thanks to the local - federated timelines.

I think that Mastodon should exploit more that and that a system that helps filtering without actually muting people in those timelines would be great.

Example:

* I follow mainly techies
* I use the local timeline to find more people to follow, and like to just read some msgs.
* I mute most silly talk, but I'd rather not, I'd rather move that to a different timelime that I would check when bored.
