I wonder how many and to what extent Netflix original movies are just written by their algorithm. Inputs of thumbs-up to thumbs-down ratios. How many times certain things are watched how frequently and when.

There was a part in 1984 where a machine is described. A telescoping machine that writes all the books. Julia is bored by her days work because the book she worked on had only 4 plots. Anyone remember that?
