Its winter solstice!
It means I probably have only one and a half months during which temperatures are pleasant for cycling during day. Starting from late February, temperatures become challenging, with it becoming intolerable during afternoon after half of March.

I once did a cycling trip upto 2 PM in a dangerously hot temperature index of 48 deg C during late March, somehow I did not suffer any noticeable effects.
