OK so if I actually build a incubator and start culturing samples from around my house, what do I do with 'em other than attempting to classify 'em and perhaps take the odd picture?

What're some of the things one learns from developing cultures, besides classifying? Experimenting with antibacterial resistance? Could I do that with vet-grade drugs?

IANAPathologist, but am willing to take the introductory course.
