If you’re on mastodon.social you should think about whether you want to be on an instance run by a guy who tried to keep his corporate sponsor secret and is determined to add features that make Mastodon more attractive to advertisers like directories and lists of the most popular and “influential” users and topics and balks at adding reliable privacy controls that could actually limit how much data flows to his instance.
