Can someone recommend a simple GIS tool for handling GPX files. Ideally I want a tool that will read a GPX track file, overlay it on an OSM map and automatically provide some statistics.

Until now I've been using "GPX Viewer" (see screenshot), but the app is now full of bugs and the project looks dead. A similar Free Software tool would be great. I'm not wanting to use an online service.
