I thought the time and effort I had put in to trying to build a community on the fediverse would've spoken for itself at this point.

I'm not going to apologize for what I do for a living... and working with Law Enforcement is not outside of the realm of possibility in my line of work.

It may suck, but it's part of being in infosec.

Infragard is a tiny, tiny part of that.

I have only interacted with the FBI a handful of times, and it was more about them needing data forensics help, every time with a business acting illegally.

I hate that I got everyone upset over this... I had spoken about it openly before... not sure what made this time different.

I'm good with everyone defederating if they feel like that's the right course of action... we all have our acceptable risks...

I just wish I hadn't been the flashpoint for it all.
