   Actually air transport is much much safer than ground transport overall. The few air accidents that happen gets media coverage, while several ground transport accidents per day don't.
   But yes, ground transport is environment friendly.

     Yes. Trains are damn slow here. And most people depend on it for long distance travel. Chennai to Delhi takes 2 days.

     China's aviation department has now ordered its airlines to stop flying the narrow body 787-max aircrafts now that it has been involved in 2 crashes in 2 years since its launch. Indian aviation dept will issue additional safety measures.
