I am just coming back from holidays in π»πͺ Venezuela. My flight was canceled last week due to the national blackout and I would like to share some personal impressions.
The Venezuelan power grid is fed mainly by a single hydroelectric power plant that provides power to almost 80% of the country. The blackout lasted 72 hours in the capital and up to 6 days in many states. In a country where cash is hard to find, this meant no way to pay for food or goods during those days.
