   I find it quite disturbing how much people beliefe in the fixes a vote shall bring upon the societal and environmental crisis we are living in. And they do it again and again.
   An election will not fix this, a ruling party will not fix this, the state will not fix this (here people are hard to convince). Take up actions now, take up actions, which do not appeal or appease the state.

     The big transformation will either start now, or will be savaging. Either with the state, but not for the state and most probably against the state.

     Elections these days are mainly for securing bureaucratic stability of processes by slowly updating institutions and processes. they are neither a "voice of the popular" nor a fix to envisioned crisis.

     The first step to re-emergence of a democratic liberal state for me would be an de-centralising of power. Currently most democratic states abolish and reshuffle central power towards a more centralised state (and its bureaucratic institutions)
