There are days which are dark and grim. This evening was not one of them.

Was at the opening of a new college house, far away from home. And they invited the cleaners and service people to party among the students. Didn't see such a thing in a long time. Later I talked with an organozer, noted that and he glowed as a response. He told me that they really struggled with getting them to come but finally gained their trust. It was something special.

It is my second time to give a lecture at this very special college, but when I came back, a few people from the last time welcomed me so warm and kind I did not rue the coming back a second. This is not wise from the economical or time aspect, but this place is something important to support for me.

Some of the cleaners live at the town of the college for more than 50 years. They were invited by students to tell from past times of the town. And they did, and everyone near was listening, neither professors, nor the decan nor students Interrupted, only some official political representatives tried. But they were shushed by students. Later when I talked to students, they told me how important these stories were to than, and how disgusted the we're by the representatives. That was wonderful.
