    @voidspace yes, you can send normal emails.

    If both users are tutanota's users then I thinks it is encrypted by default, but if the recipient is on an external server then you have to check mark that option and provide a password (that you should send to the recipient via a different method).

      @voidspace this password/passphrase can be the same (or not) for every email you share

      The recipient will get a normal email where she/he is informed that "you have an encrypted email from XXXX, please click here to read it" and she/he has to use that preshared password to open it on a web interface.
