Being gay is currently illegal in much of the world, and in many countries it carries the death penalty.

Being straight has never been illegal anywhere.

Taking a "both sides" attitude when discussing human rights is denying some basic realities about the world we live in.

All hate is wrong, but straight people simply don't suffer the same discrimination that LGBT people do.
