I think going forward Mastodon (or some third party to it) is going to need to implement some kind of system that auto-hides (and perhaps even auto-reports) posts based on user input. There's only so much we can do with our current tools to react to posts and handle problematic posters and spammers before they reach users. Edit distance spam checks and report handling are a good first step but they're just mowing the weeds when they need to be ripped up from the roots. #HealynDickHard
