   It is harder, more complex, more fun, doesn't track you and you can play it on any device that has a camera: It's called #WildLifePhotography.

   Or if you don't have any such device try WildLifeDrawing instead, which the former is a fork of.

     I know it is slightly tongue in cheek, but an educational app that used the pokemon format combined with photo recognition of different animals/plants could help with teaching about wildlife.

     It might even make people appreciate the need for biodiversity, if they have memories of trying to "catch" as many different species as possible.
