   Hi @pixelfed @dansup

   It's interesting that #pixelfed :pixelfed: filters are *just* applied when users see our pictures on :pixelfed: web interface. If someone follows from :mastodon: #fediverse can see that same picture without any effect or filter.

   Is this by design or just a bug? Thank you

     @pixelfed @dansup even more, if you use browser's feature "see this image" (from :pixelfed: interface) you can see the image from pixelfed storage without the filter (where is originally storaged).

     So the picture is not altered and kept as originally uploaded

     @xosem Imagino que porque los filtros se aplican al vuelo, sin hacer cambios en la imagen original.

     @tagomago si, eso entiendo yo también.

     Se lo pregunto por aclararlo, porque publiqué una fotico poniéndole un filtro y veo que aquí en :mastodon: aparece la original

     ...y también por si igual que el servidor "federa" la imagen original también podría federar la aplicación del filtro.

     En realidad me da igual 😛 pero es por curiosidad... y por si no lo habían tenido en cuenta, que son developers de la vida y están viendo código en lugar de gatos 😉

     @xosem La verdad que sí. Sería lo suyo que se viese con filtro en todas partes. Lo que pasa es que entonces lo más sencillo sería renderizar el filtro sobre la imagen, y entonces no se podría deshacer, habría que guardar la orginal por un lado y la filtrada por otro (doble de espacio ocupado).
