    Have you tried opening Discover (if you use #KDE) or Software (on #GNOME), then searching for "slack", and clicking on the first result?

    I just did this, and it worked perfectly. Much smoother experience than installing something on Windows, actually.

      @EdwardTorvalds @progo Technical details: behind the scenes, Discover used flatpak to pull com.slack.Slack from flathub.org.

      Most Linux distros don't have Flathub preconfigured because it contains non-free software. However, if you know about flatpak.org and click "Install" there, and it will give you a .flatpakref file which will open either Plasma Discover or Gnome Software when you click on it...

      If slack.com linked to the existing Flatpak, it would make things even easier for users.
