   In case you're wondering what it is, #Pixelfed is a free open alternative to Instagram, designed for privacy-friendly photo sharing.

   You can now follow Mastodon accounts from Pixelfed, and Pixelfed accounts from Mastodon.

   Some good servers to sign up on:

   Remote follows mean wherever you sign up, you can follow people from other servers 👍

     The "hard to find" should be solved by remote follows, as they let people discover and interact with accounts on other servers more easily.

     (Previously, you could follow Pixelfed from Mastodon but not vice versa, and PF servers didn't communicate either.)

     Not yet, Pixelfed is working on an app API.

     The mobile version of the site should work pretty well in the meantime.
