Our cities of Kitchener and Waterloo have been ripped up for the last two years as the municipal government installs a new Light Rail Transit system. In our case, it's only about 40 years ago that the previous tram tracks were ripped out. And when I lived in Hamilton 30 years ago the road crews were running into tram tracks buried under the asphalt. Guess what Hamilton council is debating now? LRT, of course.
