      @hhardy01 @BarkMarnett Yes, perhaps he was a sociopath, but perhaps he was burnt out harder than the rest of us, with acute OLPC PTSD.

      I met him years later in the Bay Area. He was at Apple and he had nothing negative to say about his coworkers; he was happy, and he had a puppy which he loved very much.

      Well, I agree with a lot of Ivan's concerns in his diatribe.

      Having said that, his whole, construtivism has never been proven and all the trials failed. All I can say is, it worked for me. I had nothing but access to a DEC PDP8e. And the manuals. No instruction, no supervision. That's how I learned to program & be a system administrator when I was 14.

      Deployment was a hard problem. We hadn't 50,000 FTE for field deployments, we had at most, a total 23 FTE in all OLPC!
