   I've probably spent $1000 in the last 2 years on stuff supporting authors which is more than I ever have in my life. Don't regret it. It's better quality than the shit shoveled through the screens anyway.

     @feld I tend to get books at the library and buy it afterwards if I liked it a lot. I then put it onto a public bookshelf for others to take.

     @DC7IA That's a good idea. I've also donated some books recently to prisoners because what I had was on their wanted list.
     
     My wife has a cafe and we got a huge donation of books from someone and they're all good stuff but not very modern. I might just start taking my books I liked but don't want to keep and put them on our free bookshelf for our customers to take if they want...
