Those Sour Cream & Onion Toasted Ritz Chips should be banned by the Geneva Convention or something.
American snack foods are on a whole different level. You eat snacks from other countries and they don't compare.
Our junk food industry has hacked human tastebuds and brains with their flavorings. It's just unreal.
Compare Mexican Doritos to American Doritos -- very different. The Mexican ones have better texture and a better cheese flavor IMO, but they don't make you want to eat 10 bags of them.
Sometimes when I'm traveling out the country and I see American brand snacks I'll try them to see how they compare. They're different. Better. Satiating, not making you want to gorge.
Sour Skittles in USA: incredibly sour, has a sour sugar coating on the outside. Addictive as fuck.
Sour Skittles in Germany: like regular Skittles, but kind of sour. You don't really want to finish the bag.
Even regional favorites that inspired each other are wildly different.
Smarties: milk chocolate, but kind of bland
M&Ms: milk chocolate, has an addictive sweetness and crunch to them
American junk food is just on a whole different level. It really needs regulation or we'll never get over this obesity epidemic.

When @lain was here I couldn't find any Mate drinks that weren't full of sugar or flavored. I know of only one brand that makes a "sparkling mate tea" which doesn't have sugar, but it's rarely in stock when I look for it.

@lain sounds like we're searching for an Australian gay bar
