I have to say, after using #Zettlr as my main #Zettelkasten / notational slipbox, it works very well for me. And it became better while using it in the last few days, when the developer added UID-creation to the creation of a new Zettel. I did an export of my Library in Zotero, inserted the export and can cite quite well in Zettlr (much better than i did in nvALT or else.
And there are nice features like a word-count on daily, weekly and monthly base.

Chthonic Librarian Socialism (syndikalista@anticapitalist.party)'s status on Wednesday, 18-Sep-2019 13:08:46 UTC Chthonic Librarian Socialism Internal links was a little bit irritating because [[UID]] works for internal links, but Markdown normally uses [Name](LINK) and i did not understand, that i can use both ways until recently.
Using [[]] makes it very easy to find the UID i want to link to.
Tags yet work wonderful inside the text or in a "header" -
