I have an Apple Watch Series 2 and when it gives up the ghost I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. The watch is invaluable for my wife, so when hers was unable to last a day anymore it made sense to replace it, but me... I don't know.
It's an awful expensive wrist notification device. I think 90% of the advertised features don't work well in practice. I'm more likely to pull out my phone and read messages there.
It's bad for consuming any information. Workout tracking is nice, but it's not a must-have for me. Music control sucks. Volume control only works sometimes, because it has to be in the right state / recognize what's playing. So it works for Apple Music sometimes, but audiobooks and other things, not really. Siri through the watch is slow and fucking worthless. I don't think adding LTE capability will be worth it for a feature I rarely use anyway.
I really think for most people the Apple Watch is better on paper than in practice.
AirPods on the other hand... I'll fight you over them. They're that good.
