     @codewiz I am amazed at how #GNOME puts a lot of time and effort into the UI, detailing on every little components, their icons, the colors they choose, etc. And their planning on UX/UI ahead of the app actually have given great results! I have seen many GNOME developers investing a lot of time on designing the interfaces first, discussing them with a lot of other contributors, and then moves towards implementation. A big 👏 to the entire team!

     @srevinsaju If only #GNOME moved away from old-school C wrapped with GObject, it could become a solid framework for building desktop apps...

     @patrick @srevinsaju Good question. It seems Vala failed to gain traction both inside and outside #GNOME. Even if Vala brought some good ideas, a new programming language with such a small user base isn't sustainable.

     It seems some GNOME projects are being rewritten in #Rust instead:
