Additional proposal: be intentional. That is, if you need to use a big social network, plan in advance what you want to use it for and then do *only* those things and stop when you’re done.
So if you want to update your friends, do *just that* and then log off.
There are healthier ways to get the constant stream of stimulation social networks give you. Mastodon/fediverse is one, RSS aggregators (e.g. Feedly) are another.
