     @peron When I was a kid, I took a roll of multiwire shielded cable from my dad's company and used it to build a serial cable going down from my bedroom on the 4th floor to my neighbor's kitchen on the ground floor of the same building.

     It worked, but not at 115200 bps. And it made sparks when the shield touched the computer chassis! :blobcatfearful:
