Linux Touchpad Like MacBook Update: Touchpad Gestures Now Shipping

I tried these on Fedora Rawhide, and the "pinch zoom" gesture indeed works in Evince. Cool!

I couldn't get it to work in firefox-wayland nor Firefox on XWayland with MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1.

@globalc Ah, MOZ_WEBRENDER=1 is also required! When does it become the default?

@codewiz Awesome! Works for me on Fedora35 with evince, as well as wayland-firefox (env MOZ_WEBRENDER=1 MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 firefox).

@globalc Looks like WebRender is already enabled everywhere... *except* for Linux + Wayland:

Maybe there's some bug or performance issue?

@codewiz I guess that's a question for the mozilla folks.. the way I understand it is that they first make new things just available via env variables or about:config, and when it's considered stable that goes default.
(The cynic in me whispers: mozilla are busy with much more important stuff.. like implementing advertisements from 'partners', which they stated recently)

@globalc Wow, they have lots of bugs with Wayland + WebRender:
