    Just right before the festive days: the System76 Launch keyboard arrived, my first keyboard with real switches. It's nice, so far! It's an 80% model, has exactly the keys I need, and typing just feels great.

      @globalc But I think having English words engraved on the cursor keys instead of the usual arrows is odd...

      @globalc AAARGH! The horror! The qualifier keys are not in the same order of a Thinkpad keyboard (*). How do you cope with it?

      (*) which is Fn, Ctrl, Super, Alt, Space, Alt(Gr), PrtSc, Right Ctrl.

      @globalc With any keyboard, you could make Caps Lock become a more ergonomic Ctrl key. It can be remapped on X11, Wayland and even in the Linux console. I also know how to remap it in Windows!

      @codewiz That's right, and that's the piece which I still need to adapt to.
      ctrl / alt / fn / super / space
      is the order here. I'm a VIM guy and also jump forward/backward in lines often using 'alt', that feels still a bit awkward. Will see what it's like in 2 weeks.

      @codewiz But actually, one could simply reorder that by oneself

      @codewiz Builds nicely on Fed35, and I reconfigured now into Thinkpad layout, with one additional tweak:
      Thinkpad allows in Bios to switch ctrl <-> Fn, and I made the left Fn key now also a ctrl key.

      @globalc I think this is a typo:

      "Bottom left Ctrl is the only key which does now have the proper cap."

      s/now/not/ ?
