     I really liked the first 3rd of the new matrix. After that it lost direction and cohesion. I was no longer sure what the stakes were and the continued info-dumping felt like Jupiter Ascending all over. The W's had too much story for a film and rather than focus it they just tried to squeeze it all in.

     What was left was a fun romp with lively action scenes, humor, callbacks, and nostalgia. The promise of the first third doesn't materialize, though. There's no questioning of realities to be found this time around.
