   So I have spent the last three days copying all of the media files on this instance over to Amazon S3 storage. But I wasn't able to get things working properly. And even more concerning is that I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that the site had been a bit buggy. People have mentioned that cannot access certain pages like their preferences. I had noticed this with my account as well, not being able to access some admin pages.

     I no longer could get some of mastodon's systemd services to start. Ultimately, I thought the best thing was to restore from a backup. I tried a backup that was 4 days old but it had the same problems. So I had to go back 11 days. So all data from the last 11 days is lost.

     Ultimately, I spent most of the last 3 days fighting with this thing, and I'm done. If someone wants to take over this instance, they can have it, and the domain name.
