@imgn Actually makes sense if your model is not based on selling ads. If you're exhausting a big chunk of resources, that has to be covered in some way. Not saying that the price tag is correct, idk... but. Any service would have troubles trying to cope with that, even PeerTube p2p model, I presume. Would be interesting to watch a stress test like that on PeerTube. Video is expensive.
@tagomago Yes, I had the same thought. But I think the issue here is that many creators had their videos removed before they could respond to the sudden and steep price hike. It's just another reminder that these sites control your content and viewership. Small federated instances could help with this problem.
