    There are apparently no nice devices to measure power consumption for electric devices with Japan power plug, making the data available via network. For Germany, I would take the Expert Power Control 1202, has even rj45 connector.
    KDE has just started a project to measure kde-desktop power consumption, they use the Power Control 1202.

      @globalc Japan's power plug is just the same of any US power plug... for a change they didn't invent something totally weird!

      I used a common current meter bought in the US with the 100V plugs in Japan and it worked just fine.

      Unless you meant those weird 200V plug for the eakon...?
