@gemlog@maperal I totally agree, a decentralized search engine that feeds up from other instances and databases, maybe on DTH/torrent supported DBs. Nobody has seriously developed a Google search engine replacement yet. Only meta engines that rely on corporate ones.
@santiago It's not working very well at the moment. In fact, my own installation is waiting for updates :-( It would be my choice too! In all cases though of qwanta, ddg, startpage, metager, ecosia, swiss cows... they are all just front ends for bing and or google. https://www.mojeek.com/about/ and yandex are their own I believe. I think what we need (but very difficult) is a true distributed, federated, crawling search engine to along with all the other great alternatives to corporate usa dominance of the internet. @maperal
