   The problem with time travel isn't that you change the past. Do that, the future is changed, and you find yourself in the now, momentarily confused.
   The problem is that for some reason to-do lists are not affected.
   Why did I think I needed to "peel sacrificial potatoes"?

     @MicroSFF It's simply because the potato god isn't affected by time. There is always need to peel sacrificial potatoes, most of us just neglect proper rituals until it's too late.
