     combined with this fixed properties in https://mastodon.social/getting-started:
     div.column:nth-child(2) {
     min-width: 500px;
     width: 40%;
     }
     div.column:nth-child(3) {
     min-width: 500px;
     width: 40%;
     }

     so i see the 3rd column only when it shows something (not in /getting-started)

     @jartigag If you're using Stylus, the latest update caused issues. Perhaps you're running into the same problem? https://github.com/openstyles/stylus/issues/1685
