   I wish security and Free Software meant more to people.  The mass apathy just kills me.

     @hobbsc bottom line I think is that most people don't grok the internet and so companies can get away with all sorts of things. To most people the internet is magic created by silicon valley genuises.

     Maybe not take over, but just extract the plaintext from sites using CAs which they havn't yet compromised.
