Kurdistan is divided into four parts, named west, north, east and south for simplicity by which State currently holds the areas.
You've probably seen the words and some find them confusing,
so here's the short list for your convenience:

Rojava (west), north and east Syria.
Bakur (north), southeast Turkey.
Rojhelat (east), northwest Iran.
Başûr (south), north Iraq.
