Another aspect of #Deaimon I like is the generational family comedy.

The white one is a Jouyo Manju (薯蕷饅é ), a shell of yam filled with bean paste:

Bernie (codewiz@mstdn.io)'s status on Sunday, 05-Jun-2022 06:49:56 UTC Bernie I found a small family-ran wagashi-ya in Gardena!! 😋
The pair in the front are Jouyo Manju.
The dark ones in the back are Ohagi, rice balls covered in sweet azuki bean paste. They're also known as Botamochi:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BotamochiThe brown ones on the sides are Kuri Manju (kuri = æ — = chestnut).
