     @tykayn Ya, Mastodon is 2016, but the history of the standard it was born into (OStatus/OpenMicroBlogging) started back in 2008. ActivityPub was introduced in 2018.

     @wjmaggos He has some accounts, but I don't think he's using them anymore. Which is a shame. He did participate in the ActivityPub conference a few years ago, iirc.
