Jonathan MburuguThe Great Green Wall project was started in 2007 by the Governments of Burkina Faso, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan and Chad. The aim of the project is to plant trees stretching from Senegal to Ethiopia to combat the ever expanding Sahara Desert, 15 percent of the project is now complete.
