      I thought there would be some trick to avoid decoding video, but I didn't expect the 6502 would spend 100% of the time copying pre-rendered characters to screen memory!

      I don't quite understand why this hacker didn't use the memory expansion port and avoid the address generation logic and the tricky synchronization issues.

      @codewiz Sounds like good content for the comment section of the video ;)
      I think I saw this before done with an 8086 or such, but IIRC just streamed from a file on a media. When I did the badapple@mp3player animation, I also just streamed from a prepared file as the animation would never change.
