   I'm tired of seeing a mostly empty black screen when booting #ArchLinux, but Plymouth is in AUR, and I don't want to depend on AUR for something as critical as, you know, booting the system!

     @Chickengod Isn't that an installer?

     I'm looking for a program that shows a graphical boot logo and prompts for a password if the disk is encrypted.

     @codewiz Manjaro uses Calamares. Not sure about Arch but, the last time I used it was all in a terminal.

     @codewiz I misunderstood. I use GRUB and enabled the terminal boot menu to appear for 3 seconds before it boots. I don't have a password since I don't encrypt my /home directory.

     Unsure how it works with a LUKS encrypted disk nowadays. I guess you can try after backing up first?
