   @globalc Avalanche is another platform supporting Ethereum-like contracts that uses a unique PoS algorithm for consensus:

   But migrating a live blockchain is much harder than designing a better one from scratch. The Ethereum devs have been working on this plan for *years*, and there are more scalability upgrades to be rolled out after The Merge.

     #ethereum plans to switch from proof-of-work to
     proof-of-stake, curious how this will work out.
     In the light if climate crisis, participating in proof-of-work is just out of question, against all sanity.
