   @reality for me the non-automatic timeline update is a feature rather than a bug. It means that the timeline doesn't keep jumping around as it did with AndStatus and it also means that there isn't a lot of polling going on which wastes battery power.

     @bob Automatic syncing can be easily turned off for individual or for all accounts (like for any account in Android), but AndStatus has even more interesting options, if you don't want to see automatic syncing, when you are using the application. It's Settings -> Syncing -> "Syncing indicator in a Timeline" and even "Sync while using AndStatus"
