Laser-zapped regolith observed by #Perseverance's SuperCam.
Although they appear to be large, the "pebbles" in these regolith images are actually grain sized, many of them of sub-millimeter sizes. So the laser does blast some of them away.

Forgive my ignorance, but "planetary sciences" sounds about as vast a topic as the universe itself. By "specifics" I meant something like, "the forces holding together the two blobs of Arrokoth" or "how to find new trans-Neptunian objects using star occultation" something to that extend, but maybe COSPAR capacity building doesn't get down to such details?
