    The Global Peace Index for 2022 has some interesting results. It apparently measures the most peaceful countries. I don't know how accurate it is, but it would be interesting to compare a few more of these rankings/surveys to see if there's a general consensus.

    Some countries of interest to me were:

    12. Canada
    30. Taiwan
    38. Costa Rica
    46. Uruguay
    55. Chile
    69. Argentina
    77. Paraguay
    81. Dominican Republic
    89. China
    129. USA
    130. Brazil

    One thing I would like to ask, though, is about the Ecological Threat Report (another link on that same website). It gives Uruguay a 5 under Natural Disasters (you have to specifically select Uruguay on the Countries dropdown list). Is that an error on their part, or do they know something that I don't?

      @Scott peace is a relative concept, i would rather use Gini index and Human Development Index

      @santiago
      This one factors in things like crime, societal & political stability, armed conflict, prevalence of weapons, relations with neighboring countries, etc. It seems to encompass things other than economic and education factors.
