   Should one be running their own mastodon servers? Was wondering if this is something that is easy to maintain and keep up to date, might be more resilient than using a hosted service.

     @Migueldeicaza I think mastodon is too big, for single account I'd use https://github.com/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial
     Although is only the backend you can use any mastodon client (mobile or web like pinafone) with it. And is only one binary (golang) it runs fine on a raspberry or the cheapest VPS
