Walter@codewiz, maybe I'm too careful, but I would suggest that you get some scrap boards and decent‑ish tools, and learn how to remove chips and replace them with sockets. Yes, takes more time and it's more expensive, but in the long run you'll be better of doing it this way, especially if you don't have experience with this sort of things.
